THE 10 RUNNERS-UP ARE:

Ant-Man

Avengers: Age Of Ultron may have had a starrier cast, but this comic book movie was fun, and thanks to lead Paul Rudd, hilarious too.

Big Hero 6

The cutest Marvel comic character ever (sorry, Iron Man) got his own adorable animated adventure.

Cinderella

Gorgeous live action adaptation of the classic fairytale, this wins a place in the top 10 for that brilliant midnight pumpkin race.

The Good Dinosaur

Lovely Pixar tale of a dinosaur and his boy that’s a treat for all ages.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

The final part of Hunger Games gave Jennifer Lawrence another chance to shine as tough heroine Katniss.

Inside Out

Adults (and critics) may have loved this more than kids but it’s still an original, funny and moving animated tale from Pixar.

Jurassic World

Chris Pratt follows Guardians Of The Galaxy with another cool hero role in one of the biggest hits of the year. Can someone please cast him as the young Han Solo next?

Minions

Cute yellow dudes! Sandra Bullock! Jon Hamm!

Snoopy And Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie

Retro enough for adults, current enough for kids. A perfect cartoon mix for Snoopy, Charlie Brown and his pals.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The record-breaking sci-fi spectacular was nearly number one but was pipped at the post by Movies4Kids favourite film of the year…

And-the-winner-is

Shaun_the_Sheep

Shaun The Sheep Movie

One of the funniest movies of the year for any age – a pretty amazing feat when you realise it has no dialogue. Shaun, we love ewe (sorry…)
