First trailer for The BFG

THE BFG, directed by Steven Spielberg based on the beloved novel by Roald Dahl, is the exciting tale of a young London girl (Ruby Barnhill) and the mysterious Giant (Mark Rylance) who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country.

Roald Dahl’s classic story The BFG is getting the big screen treatment with  Steven Spielberg directing the live action story of a young girl who befriends a friendly giant and travels to Giant Country where some of the inhabitants aren’t quite as nice. Mark Rylance, Bill Hader and Penelope Wilton are among the cast, while the script was written by the late Melissa Mathison, who also wrote ET: The Extra Terrestrial. The movie opens on July 22 next year in the UK – perfect timing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Dahl’s birth in 2016.
