Ant-Man – will it be the quirkiest Marvel movie so far?

Avengers: Age Of Ultron isn’t the only Marvel movie we’re getting this year, there is also the intriguing Ant-Man, with Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd in an adventure about a man who can, you guessed it, shrink to the size of an ant.

Above is the rather cool teaser poster (can you spot Ant-Man?!) and below, we’ve got a photo from the film and the trailer, too…

RIP Rod Taylor

Annex - Taylor, Rod (Time Machine, The)_01Very sad to hear of the death of Australian-born actor Rod Taylor, who passed away on Wednesday in Los Angeles at the age of 84. He is, of course, best known for his leading role alongside Tippi Hedren in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds, but my favourite performance of his will always be as H George Wells in The Time Machine (1960). If you’ve got kids interested in science fiction and time travel, they’ll love it (although the under-10s may find the Morlocks a bit scary!)

Younger viewers may have already heard his voice, as Taylor provided the vocals for Pongo in One Hundred And One Dalmatians, while grown ups should check out his performances in the Doris Day romantic comedy The Glass Bottom Boat, a turn as Churchill in Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, and, of course, The Birds.
